General Electric Wins $437 Million Next-gen Adaptive Propulsion Engines Modification Contract

General Electric has been awarded a $437 million modification contract for designing, fabricating, integrating, and testing complete, flight-weight adaptive engines.

The contract modification is for the execution of next generation adaptive propulsion risk reduction for air superiority applications, the US department of defense said in a statement Friday.

Work is expected to be completed by March 30, 2022.
