Saudi Navy to Launch First MH-60R Helicopter in September
Saudi Arabia to receive first of 10 MH-60R Naval choppers

The Royal Saudi Naval Forces is set to launch next Thursday the first helicopter part of the MH-60R naval multirole helicopters project, which operates aboard ships and navy bases.

Commander of the Naval Forces General Fahad bin Abdullah Al-Ghufaily said that the helicopter has capabilities for surface and under-surface wars, a Saudi Press Agency report said.

The Government of Saudi Arabia has requested a sale of ten Sikorsky-Lockheed Martin MH-60R multi-mission helicopters in 2015 for an estimated cost of $1.9 billion under the U Foreign military sales program.
