Raytheon to Repair Multi-Spectral Targeting System of H-60 Aircraft

Raytheon has won $40 million United States (US) Navy contract for the repair of the Multi-Spectral Targeting system in support of the H-60 aircraft.

The contract will include a two-year base period and a one-year option period which if exercised, the total value of the contract will be $58,777,194.

Work is expected to be completed by July 2020; if all options are exercised, work will be completed by July 2021, US Department of Defense said in a statement Wednesday.

According to the company, MTS provides electro-optical/ infrared (EO/IR), laser designation, and laser illumination capabilities integrated in a single sensor package.It provides long-range surveillance, target acquisition, tracking, range finding and laser designation for the Griffin missile and Paveway laser-guided bomb as well as all tri-service and NATO laser-guided munitions. MTS sensors feature multiple fields of view, electronic zoom and multimode video.
