A Dassault Mirage-1 fighter aircraft belonging to the Moroccan Air Force crashed in the northern region of Taounate on Monday.

The fighter jet was on a training flight and crashed after a “technical breakdown,” Morocco world news reported Monday quoting General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces as saying.

The pilot of the aircraft ejected safely. The crash did not cause any collateral damage, as it occurred in a non-populated area.
