BAE Systems has won a $474 million contract for system support and maintenance for the United States Army’s M109 Paladin Family of Vehicles.
The contract includes system technical support, sustainment system technical support, depot maintenance support, field service representatives, systems engineering, program management, engineering management, quality management, configuration management, logistics support, and software management and maintenance for the M109 Family of Vehicles, the US department of defense said in a statement Tuesday.
Work is expected to be completed by Jan. 21, 2025.
The M109 FOV are widely used for carrying 155-mm howitzers and is the principle self-propelled artillery support for the US Army divisions. The Paladin is a large tracked vehicle with fully traversable turret and prominent bustle. The M109 can accommodate a crew of six: commander, gunner, driver and three ammunition members.
