The National Assembly, Venezuela's opposition plans to revise arms deals with Russia, Gustavo Tarre Briceno, the country's Special Representative to the Organization of American States (OAS) said at the Washington-based Center for Strategic and International Studies.

National Assembly is planning to revise value of Russian contracts on weapons supplies as well as relations with Moscow in general, TASS quoted Briceno as saying Wednesday.

"We will be very tough in renegotiating how we pay that because they didn't sell us what the contract says. And there will be a discussion about that. We are going to be in front of something, someone not very kind and very difficult in order to make a deal," Briceno said.

The opposition politician also commented that Caracas' debt to Moscow is mostly due to the "price of weapons."

"The deal on Sukhoi fighter bombers was not fully transparent. Also, they are not the best technology- two thirds of Russian aircraft don't fly in Venezuela," Briceno claimed.
