The US Department of defense has awarded a $63 million worth contract to provide maintenance and support services for F/A-18 C/D aircraft in support of the government of Kuwait.
“Kay and Associates Inc., Buffalo Grove, Illinois, is awarded $63,016,210 for modification P00007 to a previously awarded cost-plus-fixed-fee contract (N0042117C0044) to exercise an option for maintenance and support services for F/A-18 C/D and associated equipment in support of the government of Kuwait,” the DOD release said Thursday.
Developed by Boeing, the F/A-18 C/D aircraft are the two variants of the F/A-18 Super Hornet, which is a twin-engine, supersonic, all weather multirole fighter jet.
Work will be performed at various locations in Kuwait including Almed Al-Jaber Air Base; Kuwaiti Air Force Headquarters; Air Institute/Air Defense Base; and Subhan/Air Defense Base. Work is expected to be completed in January 2020, the release added.
