The United States Air Force (USAF) has awarded a $10 million modification contract to Textron Aviation to supply 12 T-6C aircraft maintenance and training support to Argentina
The contract includes maintenance, pilot training, and interim contractor support for maintenance. Contractor will provide supplies and services to provide for the replacement of current training aircraft fleet and the enhancement of the Argentina air force surveillance and border security mission, The US Department of defense said in a statement Friday.
Argentina had purchased 12 Beechraft Texan aircraft to replace Embraer EMB-312 Tucano to train its military pilots in 2017.
Work is expected to be completed by June 30, 2021.
