Elbit Systems’ US subsidiary has won a contract to supply Common Helmet Mounted Display (CHMD) system to the US Army.
The full color CHMD will be part of the Army's Air Soldier System, used by helicopter pilots to provide day and night situational awareness and survivability. It will be fully-integrated into the Elbit Systems' Helmet Display and Tracker System used onboard the US Army's CH-47F Chinook and the UH-60L/M/V Black Hawk fleets, the company said in a statement Tuesday.
Deliveries are scheduled to begin within 15 months.
