Israeli Aerospace Industries (IAI) will unveil the “T-Heron” tactical Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) at the upcoming Paris AirShow 2019.
Powered by Rotex engine, the drone can fly with a maximum speed of 120 knots and can reach altitudes of up to 24,000 feet. It can carry payloads of nearly 180 kg. The T-Heron complies with global standards, including the STANAG 4671 requirements.
These statistics compare with the 125 kt and 30,000 ft for the baseline Heron 1, making the T-Heron the de facto entry-level platform for the Heron family of medium-altitude long-endurance (MALE) unmanned systems.
