The order book of Boeing for MAX aircraft could shrink by 35 jets as Russia's Avia Capital Services is looking to cancel the order in addition to suing the US plane maker for $225 million compensation.
The Moscow-based company has filed a lawsuit in the US claiming over $225 million from Boeing. The sum includes a $35 million deposit for the planes, as well as interest, compensation for damages and punitive damages, reports Financial Times.
Earlier this month, Dennis Muilenburg, CEO, Boeing, said that airlines remained the company’s “firm partners” despite months long MAX grounding, and the perspective of receiving their future MAX orders with lengthy delays.
"Boeing has no order cancellations," the CEO had said.
