Pakistan on Thursday test-fired the Ghaznavi ballistic missile, with the ability to deliver multiple types of warheads and a range of nearly 300km.
“Pakistan successfully carried out night training launch of surface to surface ballistic missile Ghaznavi, capable of delivering multiple types of warheads upto 290 kms,” the Inter Services Public Relations wing of the Pakistan military announced.
The Ghaznavi missile has been described by experts as being a derivative of the Chinese M-11 missile exported to Pakistan in the early 1990s. While having shorter range than other Pakistani ballistic missiles, the Ghaznavi can be transported and launched via road-mobile vehicles.
