Suspected Israeli Airstrike Hits Iranian Military Base on Syria-Iraq Border

Suspected Israeli warplanes have attacked Iranian military base located in Abu Kamal, near Syria-Iraq border, on Monday.

Three explosions are said to have occurred, local media reported.

According to Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), the airstrikes targeted the headquarters and military equipment of Iranian armed forces and pro-Iranian militants, Harakat al-Abdal and Hezbollah.  

The military base is about 300km from US military installation in Iraq.
