Pentagon Awards Northrop 2 USAF Contracts Worth $2Bn for GPS Systems, E-8C Aircraft

Northrop Grumman has won two separate contracts worth $1.9 Billion combined for Embedded GPS Inertial Navigation System Modernization (EGI/EGI-M), and E-8C Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System (JSTARS) aircraft.

The first contract worth $1.4 Billion provides for production, sustainment and engineering technical services in support of the EGI/EGI-M system. Work is expected to be completed by September 26, 2032.

The E-8C JSTARS contract provides for modernization and sustainment of 16 mission and one trainer aircraft. The $495 Million contract will support the current JSTARS Program Office and Air Combat Command projections of improvements to increase or maintain E-8C performance, capability, reliability, and maintainability. Work is expected to be completed by September 26, 2024.
