Airbus Helicopters, EASA to Jointly Develop eVTOL Platforms, Racer Demonstrator

Airbus Helicopters and EASA will jointly work to develop electric vertical take-off and landing systems (eVTOLs) and high-speed Racer demonstrator under Memorandum of Cooperation signed between the two parties.

Other than eVTOLs and Racer demonstrator, the areas of cooperation covered by this agreement includes certification of new piloting assistance systems such as Airbus Helicopters’ EAGLE technology, the thermal/electrical hybridization of rotorcraft, and condition-based maintenance.
