Lockheed Wins US Navy's Trident II D5 Missile Contract

The US Navy awarded Lockheed Martin $40.3 million modification contract for TRIDENT II (D5) missile production and deployed systems support.

Work is expected to be completed Sept. 30, 2024.

In October, the company was awarded $495 million under the same contract.

The Trident II D5 Submarine-Launched Ballistic Missile (SLBM) is a three-stage, solid-propellant, inertial-guided ballistic missile. It can carry multiple independently targeted re-entry bodies for a maximum range of over 7,360km.
