Russia's Yak-130 To Make Its Debut At Dubai Airshow

Russia's Yak-130 combat trainer will be presented for the first time at this year's edition of Dubai Airshow (17-21 November).

The aircraft will be part of the flying displays. The first training session in the Dubai sky was held on Thursday, November 14.

The new generation Yak-130 combat trainer is developed by the Yakovlev Design Bureau (a part of Irkut Corporation) and serially produced at the Irkutsk Aviation Plant.

"Using the Yak-130, pilots can be trained to fly combat aircraft of the 4+ and 5thgenerations," the company said in a statement Friday.

In 2016, the Yak-130 aircraft set 9 world records in the rate of climbing to various altitudes with and without payload, the statement read.
