The US Army has awarded Oshkosh Defense a contract valued $804 million to supply 2,721 Joint Light Tactical Vehicles (JLTVs) and related support.
"Oshkosh Defense was awarded an $804 million modification to Foreign Military Sales (Montenegro) contract for the procurement of 2,721 Joint Light Tactical Vehicle and 16,714 associated packaged or installed kits," the US Department of Defense said in a statement Wednesday.
On December 16, Israeli firm Elbit Systems won $35 million to supply the Montenegrin Armed Forces with Remote Controlled Weapon Stations (RCWS) for the new Oshkosh 4X4 JLTVs.
Work for the current contract will be performed in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, with an estimated completion date of January 31, 2021.
