Russia’s flagship air carrier Aeroflot has received first five of the total 100 ordered Sukhoi SSJ100 regional jetliners, manufacturer United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) announced on Wednesday.
“The first five Superjet aircraft were delivered to Russia’s Aeroflot,” UAC posted on its official Twitter handle.
The contract for 100 planes was signed at the Eastern Economic Forum (EEE) held September 2018 in Russia. Delivery of the aircraft was scheduled to take place between 2019 and 2026. The planes are to be delivered in two-class layout – 12 seats in the business class and 75 in the economy class.
