Carlos Ghosn Escapes in Musical Instrument case, Seven Arrested in Istanbul Airport

Former Nissan-Renault CEO Carlos Ghosn who is believed to have escaped from Japan hidden in a musical instrument case, was aided by four pilots and other airline staffers in Istanbul.

Members of Gregorian music band arrived at Ghosn's Tokyo home where he had been living under strict bail conditions. He slipped into one of their cases and was whisked away to Turkey by a private plane, from where he reportedly flew to Beirut, Lebanon, via Bombardier Challenger jet in wee hours on Monday.

Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office launched an investigation into Ghosn's escape to Lebanon via Istanbul Airport, after skipping bail in Japan, reports Anadolu Agency.
