MBDA Sells Mistral, Exocet Missiles to Cyprus: French Media

Cyprus has placed an order for Mistral surface-to-air missiles and Exocet anti-ship missiles for an combined worth of €290 million from MBDA for the Cypriot National Guard, the joint arms military force of the Republic of Cyprus.

"MBDA has signed two contracts with Cyprus for Mistral and Exocet missiles in December. They had been negotiating the deal since July," a source was quoted as saying by La Tribune on February 6.

Piriou and Naval Group have submitted a proposal to sell Kership Offshore Patrol Vessel equipped with Polaris Combat management system to Cyprus' gas-rich Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ), the report said.
