Boeing Awarded USAF AWACS Aircraft Upgrade Deal

The Pentagon has awarded Boeing a contract worth $100 million that involves upgrade of US Air Force’s Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) planes.

This contract provides for the continued acquisition of supplies and services associated with the production of the E-3 AWACS Block 40/45 upgrade, the US Department of Defense said in a statement Thursday.

Work is expected to be completed by fiscal 2024.
