General Atomics to Buy SATCOM Radomes from Belgium
MQ-9B Sky Guardian

General Atomics is set to procure radomes to protect radars of its MQ-9B Sky Guardian and SeaGuardian Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) from Belgim-based SABCA company.

The Government of Belgium has approved Belgian Defense to negotiate the acquisition of MQ-9B to meet the nation’s RPA requirements.

SABCA was awarded contract to supply lightning-protected radomes for worldwide fleet of MQ-9Bs, including the ones on order for UK Royal Air Force and Australian Defence Force (ADF), in 2019.

The production of the first radome will start in 2020 in SABCA’s Limburg facilities in Belgium.
