MBDA Suspends All Activities in France due to Coronavirus

European MBDA has announced suspension of all of its activities in France to contain the spread of novel Coronavirus, COVID-19.

MBDA did not specify what activities would be affected such as manufacturing or assembly. The company said in a statement Wednesday that it will commence operations on March 23.

The development has come nearly a week after Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General stated that Europe is now the "epicenter of the pandemic."

MBDA operates in five European countries  including France, UK, Germany, Spain and Italy.
