MBDA Resumes Some of its Activities in France

MBDA France has resumed partial operations that includes production and testing under “classified projects,” after over two weeks of closure owing to novel coronavirus outbreak.

“Employees who could not work from home have returned to our office in France.  Particular care has been taken to ensure their safety. Essential production, testing and study activities on classified projects will gradually resume, starting with the most urgent needs for the armed forces,” the company said in a statement on April 6.

Activities at the French facility were shut down around mid-March and were supposed to resume by March 23.

“Since the start of containment, the medical, cleaning, site management and security teams have worked hard with management to disinfect the premises and thoroughly reorganize workstations, staff circulation circuits and the flow of goods,” the company said.

MBDA added that the decision to continue its operations will be taken following evaluation for a week. “The collective and individual health measures put in place will be evaluated by the end of the week in order to decide whether or not to extend this partial resumption of activity,” MBDA said.
