A Cougar multi-role helicopter of the French Army crashed near Tarbes in southwestern France on Wednesday, killing two people and injuring five others.
"On April 15, a Cougar helicopter crashed north of Tarbes during a training mission in the vicinity of Bouilh-Devant (Hautes-Pyrénées). The helicopter was from the 5th Combat Helicopter Regiment (5th RHC)," Florence Parly, French defense minister, said in a statement.
A probe has been launched to ascertain the cause of the accident.
