Although the document does not identify the type of weapons it intends to buy, France-based LA Tribune reported in January that the country plans to buy VL MICA missiles. The newspaper also stated that Morocco plans to acquire CAESAR self-propelled howitzers and ammunition for another $218 million (€200 million).

The VL MICA weapon system comes with two seekers (IR or RF).
