IAI radar system

The Slovak Government has given its nod to procure 17 radar systems built by Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) for its military.

The agreement, led by Israel MoD's International Defense Cooperation Directorate (SIBAT), will be signed by both countries and includes the transfer of tech and knowledge as well as industrial cooperation, Israel MoD said in a statement today.

SIBAT Director, Brig. Gen. (Res.),Yair Kulas: "This agreement is indicative of the excellent capabilities of Israel’s defense industry. We thank our Slovakian partners and look forward to continuing exchanges of information and technology, further expanding our partnership.”

IAI’s ELTA Systems manufactures ELM-2084 multi-mission radar (MMR) system. It is deployed by the Israel Defense Force (IDF) and forms part of the Iron Dome anti-missile defense shield. The system will allow air defense units to monitor, track, and intercept airborne targets at altitudes from 100-3,000m.
