Argentina Air Force Inducts Boeing 737, its First New Transport Plane in 15 Years

The Argentina Air Force inducted a new Boeing 737-700 earlier this week, making it the first aircraft to join the service’s transport fleet in 15 years.

“May 2006 was the last time the Air Force piloted a Boeing plane,” Minister of Defense, Agustín Rossi said during the induction ceremony held at El Palomar. Buenos Aires.

The Boeing 737-700 Falkland Islands registered T-99 was escorted by a pair of IA-63 Pampa aircraft. It has a crew capacity of 14 members and can carry 140 passengers. The crew received a three-month training at the Pilot Training and Training Center of the Argentine Republic (CEFEPRA), located at the Ezeiza International Airport.

The aircraft will be used for the deployment of military personnel. It will also participate in the transfer of troops from the Armed Forces in United Nations missions and will cover destinations of the airline Lineas Aereas del Estado (LADE).
