Turkish UAV manufacturer UAVERA, an investment of Coşkunöz Holding is poised to showcase its new Cagatay VTOL UAV at the 15th International Defense Industry Fair (IDEF) 2021 being held in Istanbul TÜYAP Fair and Congress Center between 17-20 August.
The Cagatay VTOL UAV is a sub-cloud UAV (BIHA) class with 6 hours of flight time and a communication range of up to 150 kilometers. The UAV also is equipped with satellite control, feel-and-avoid, anti-collision, and swarm capabilities.
Through the joint effort of INMARSAT, COBHAM, A-TECHSYN, and UAVERA the UAV is the world's first satellite-controlled BIHA system in its class. The Cagatay VTOL UAVs will connect to the TÜRKSAT satellites to provide an uninterrupted and reliable connection.
Cagatay VTOL UAV is expected to be integrated into HARBIYE, the "Operation Information Management, and Integration" system produced by HAVELSAN. HARBIYE helps in making critical decision-making processes, rapid and accurate sharing of information on the battlefield, situational awareness.
The integtation into the HARBİYE system during the flight will provide sub-cloud reconnaissance and surveillance air support to the field teams.
