The Russian Ministry of Defense will order weapons for 500 billion Rubles ($6.8 billion) at the Army 2021 military-technical forum to be held next week.
"We are planning to sign 45 government contracts worth 500 billion rubles," Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said in an interview with a local newspaper.
The ministry reportedly plans to order Uran-14 robotic systems, remote mining systems, artillery and heavy flamethrower systems, special equipment for the Ground Forces, T-90M tanks and for modernization tanks T-90. The Russian military’s shopping list also includes reconnaissance ships and minesweepers and high-precision weapons. It also wants to buy new aircraft and modernize the existing ones.
Army-2021 Forum will be held in Kubinka near Moscow between August 22-28.
