AVS-6 Aviator’s Night Vision Imaging Systems (ANVIS)

Elbit Systems won a contract valued $93 million on Friday to deliver passive night vision goggles to the U.S. Army.

"Elbit Systems of America - Night Vision LLC, Roanoke, Virginia; and L3 Technologies Inc., Londonderry, New Hampshire, will compete for each order of the $92.3 million contract for the Aviator's Night Vision Imaging System III," a U.S. DoD release said.

The Aviator's Night Vision Imaging System III has Independent eye span adjustment and 25-mm relief eye piece accommodate eyeglasses and unique user requirements. Low-profile battery pack improves head mobility. Objective lens coatings filter glare from cockpit instrument lighting.

Work is estimated to be completed by August 22, 2025.
