Saudi Arabian delegation taking part in Army-2021 Forum in Kubinka outside Moscow were shown some of the weapons that ‘proved’ themselves in Syria.
On August 23, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu thanked Deputy Minister of Defense of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Khaled bin Salman for his visit to the VII International Military-Technical Forum "Army-2021".
“At its sites, you can familiarize yourself with the latest Russian designs, including those that have proven themselves in Syria," Shoigu said.
Prince Khaled bin Salman said that Saudi Arabia is committed to strengthening cooperation with Russia, which will help to jointly respond to threats and challenges. "I would like to convey from my leadership our disposition to continue strengthening the relations that have historically developed between our countries. I am confident that in the future we will continue to develop and strengthen these relations, meeting the aspirations of our peoples and realizing them. This will, in turn, contribute to, improving the situation, as well as stabilizing and strengthening security," he said.
During his visit to Rostvertol helicopter manufacturing factory in Rostov-on-Don in July, Shoigu said Russia tested over 320 types of weapons in Syria. There are currently 18 Russian military bases and posts in the areas under YPG control east of the Euphrates, namely in Hassakeh, Raqqa, Manbij and Ain al-Arab (Kobani) in Aleppo.
