Ukrspetsexport State Enterprise shipped the BM Oplot tank to a ‘American,’ customer, according to a statement from Ukroboronprom the holding company of Ukrainian state defense enterprises.
General Director of Ukrspetsexport Vadym Nozdrya noted that the tank left for the United States as part of a contract for manufacturing and shipment of this combat vehicle between the Ukrainian exporter and the American customer. The tank exported in a modern advanced configuration and is completely ready for operation.
The American customer was not specified and whether this is a single tank exported with more to follow.
The Oplot battle tank is manufactured by Ukraine’s Malyshev Plant in Kharkiv. The tank is designed to hit all types of ground (surface) and low-flying air targets at low speeds under counter-firing.
Performing a wide range of combat missions becomes possible in different climatic, meteorological and road conditions over a wide temperature range from -40°C to +55°C, relative humidity of up to 98% at +25°C, altitude of up to 3000 m above the sea level and air dustiness close to actual operating conditions.
