Space Dynamics Laboratory has been awarded $29 million to process data from South Korea’s Global Hawk high-altitude, remotely-piloted, surveillance aircraft.

Seoul ordered four RQ-4 Global Hawks from U.S. company Northrop Grumman for 965.9 billion won ($812 million) in 2014. First aircraft delivered to the South Korean military in December 2019, and the last one in October 2020.

“Space Dynamics Laboratory, North Logan, Utah; and Republic of Korea, has been awarded a $28,952,142 contract for the support and sustainment of the tasking, collection, processing, exploitation and dissemination of data for the Republic of Korea Global Hawk,” a U.S. DoD release today said.

Work will be performed at Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea, and is expected to be completed by November 30, 2024.
