Finland to set up cyber defence centre

The Finnish military is to establish a cyberwar unit charged with protecting government data communications, regional daily Turun Sanomat quoted government sources as saying on Wednesday. According to the paper the unit is to be activated in early 2011 and operate 24 hours a day against both civilian and military cyber-attacks. Turun Sanomat added that the unit would be tasked with monitoring data security, detect attacks and coordinate countermeasures.
