Russia’s Kalashnikov Concern has rapidly produced a large batch of assault rifles under a contract concluded with a country in the Asia-Pacific Region.
"A large batch of assault rifles was produced in an accelerated mode at the site of Kalashnikov Concern JSC in the interests of a foreign customer from the Asia-Pacific countries under a contract concluded by Rosoboronexport JSC," Interfax reported citing Rosoboronexport’s press service.
In 2021, the group of companies increased the output of export military products by more than 70% compared to 2020. “Among the main items of our products supplied for export are assault rifles of the 100th and 200th series, assault rifles of the Ratnik series, various types of high-precision weapons,” the company said.
According to the general director of the Kalashnikov group of companies Vladimir Lepin, military and civilian products under the Kalashnikov brand are supplied to a total of 27 countries.
