ATK wins contract for networked munitions
Alliant Tech Systems, Plymouth, Minn., and Textron Defense Systems, Wilmington, Mass., were awarded on May 29, 2009, in a Joint Venture, a cost-plus-incentive-fee/firm-fixed-price (Hybrid) contract for the procurement of the Spider XS-7 networked munitions low rate initial production phase three materials with long vendor production times. Work is to be performed at Wilmington, Mass., (50.1 percent), and Plymouth, Minn., (49.9 percent), with an estimated completion date of Nov. 30, 2012. One bid was solicited and one bid received.
