Iran's F-5 jet crashes, 2 Crew Killed

An F-5 fighter jet crashed into a stadium in Tabriz, a city in northwest Iran, on Monday, killing two pilots and a civilian.

State-owned Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) reported that pilots guided the jet to the stadium in an effort to avoid crashing into the residential are. Authorities are investigating the incident.

Gen. Reza Yousefi, commander of the air base in the city, said the crashed jet had been used for training and suffered a technical problem on its final flight.
