Russia Claims to Have Destroyed 821 Ukrainian ‘Military Objects’

Russian Forces have destroyed 821 ‘military objects and infrastructure’ belonging to Ukraine, ever since the war against its western neighbor began on February 24.

Major General Igor Konashenkov, spokesperson for the Russian Ministry of Defense said the destroyed ‘military objects’ include 14 military airfields, 19 command, control and communication centers, 24 S-300 and Osa anti-aircraft missile systems besides 48 radar stations

“Shot down: 7 combat aircraft, 7 helicopters, 9 unmanned aerial vehicles. 87 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 28 multiple rocket launchers, 118 units of special military vehicles were destroyed,” he added. The official stated further that 8 Ukrainian Navy vessels were also destroyed by Russia.

Konashenkov claimed Russia was only targeting military facilities, and not residential or social infrastructure.

Meanwhile Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal said in a Twitter post that a Russian missile hit an apartment building in capital Kyiv. “Over the past 2 days, hospitals, kindergartens and orphanages in Ukrainian cities have been shelled. We demand from the world a decisive response and isolation of Russia for its criminal acts,” he said.

In addition, Russia attack Ukraine's military with long range cruise missile fired from air and sea based platforms. "During the night, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation launched a strike with long-range precision weapons using air- and sea-based cruise missiles against Ukraine's military infrastructure," Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said.
