Russia destroyed a fuel depot in southern Ukraine by using a Kinzal hypersonic missile in addition to a Kalibr cruise missile marking the use of its most powerful weapon for the second straight day.
"From the waters of the Caspian Sea, sea-based cruise missiles "Caliber", as well as from the airspace over the territory of the Crimea, hypersonic "Kinzal" missiles destroyed a large storage base for fuels of the Ukrainian armed forces near the village of Konstantinovka, Mykolaiv region" - said the spokesperson of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Igor Konashenkov.
"From this base, the main supplies of fuel for Ukrainian armored vehicles in the combat areas in southern Ukraine were carried out," he said.
"The sea-based Kalibr cruise missiles destroyed the workshops of the Nizhyn repair plant repair of Ukrainian armored vehicles damaged in combat operations," he said.
The use of super-high speed, high precision missiles signifies a change in battle tactics for Russia which has not been able to take and hold territory in the face of stiff Ukrainian resistance on the ground.
