PAL Indonesia Contracted to Build Warships for Philippines Navy

The Department of National Defense (DND) of the Philippines has placed an order for two Landing Platform Docks (LPDs) built by state-owned PT PAL Indonesia on Friday.

The company built two Strategic Sealift Vessel (SSV) landing docks for the Philippine Navy few years ago.

The newly-ordered warships will be constructed at Surabaya. The ships are planned to have a length of 123m and a height of 21m, weighing 7,200 tons, and with a cruising endurance of 30 days.
