Russia’ defense ministry has announced the destruction of an arsenal in the Mykolaiv region of Ukraine, which contained 45,000 tons of ammunition from NATO countries.
"An arsenal near Voznesensk, Mykolaiv region, where 45,000 tons of ammunition recently supplied to the Ukrainian Armed Forces by NATO countries was stored, was destroyed," Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said at a briefing on Sunday.
The spokesman claimed five more ammunition depots were destroyed, one of which was in the workshop of the St. Ilyinsky Machine-Building Plant in DPR’s Dachnoye region. He also announced the destruction of Buk-M1 anti-aircraft missile system (SAM) launcher near the village of Chasov Yar (DPR).
On Monday, Kirill Stremousov, a deputy head of the region’s military-civilian administration, told TASS that Ukraine’s HIMARS rockets struck Antonovka Bridge, which is the sole motorway link between Kherson on the western bank of the Dnieper River and the part of the Kherson Region situated on the opposite bank.
