Argentine Air Force Receives First Modernized EMB-312 Tucano Aircraft
Argentina received its first modernized EMB-312 Tucano aircraft

The Argentine Air Force (FAA) has taken delivery of the first upgraded Embraer EMB-312 Tucano trainer aircraft.

The EMB-312 Tucano is a single-turboprop basic training aircraft developed by Embraer. The aircraft was developed in two variants: T-27 for training missions and AT-27 for combat missions.

Redimec began work on updating first four Tucano aircraft in December 2021. The planes were modernized to meet the current needs of the military and to extend their service life.

The enhanced aircraft has modern onboard equipment with avionics based on the use of the Garmin system, touch screens, communication and navigation systems, operational security and backup systems.

The update includes a new multifunction display, as well as new communication and navigation systems.

Internal and external lighting systems were adjusted on the training aircraft.

The engine control systems of the aircraft are duplicated, and the latest methods of risk and failure analysis and their consequences are used to ensure that the aircraft will operate in different flight conditions without inconvenience and with less strain on the crew.

Almost all information for pilots on the updated aircraft is provided in digital format.
