Russian Helicopter unveilehasd a universal unmanned aerial system of the BAS-750 helicopter type at the ongoing Army-2022 Forum.
It consists of two helicopters with a maximum takeoff weight of 750 kg, as well as two ground control and flight support stations. The autonomous mobile system ensures continuous flight of the rotary-wing drones included in it for up to 6 hours.
BAS-750 is capable of carrying a surveillance payload and transmitting information to the operator over a distance of up to 150 km. The design provides for the installation of additional fuel tanks to increase the duration of the flight. an infrared/opto electronic package can be seen in the nose of the UAV.
“BAS-750 is the ‘big brother’ of the BAS-200 drone. It continues the line of multifunctional unmanned systems capable of solving a wide range of tasks. These are search works, geodesy, cartography, monitoring of agricultural lands, roads, reservoirs, oil and gas infrastructure facilities, power supply lines, communications and pipelines, as well as cargo transportation. The drone is capable of airlifting cargo weighing up to 200 kilograms at a speed of 180 km/h,” said Oleg Yevtushenko, Executive Director of Rostec.
The new helicopter-type UAV is capable of climbing to a height of up to 3,500 meters and, in combination with a high payload and non-stop flight duration, significantly expands the versatility of the UAV.
“In a typical configuration, rotary-wing drones are equipped with an optoelectronic system, five day-night all-round cameras, and the ability to return to the point of departure even in the absence of satellite navigation data,” said Oleg Gulyaev, First Deputy General Director of the Russian Helicopters holding.
