Finland’s Defence Forces Logistics Command will procure 155 mm projectile shells and hollow charges from Nammo Lapua Oy.
The procurement will complement the 155 mm artillery ammunitions.
“The 155 mm weapons systems build the artillery’s key capability and serve as the basis for the Army’s operative use of fire. This procurement will complement the extensive use of fire in the entire country,” says Colonel Pertti Holma, Inspector of Artillery.
The overall value of the procurement is about €5 million and it will be financed from the second supplementary budget, which included additional funding for rapidly launched defence materiel procurements.
The domestic employment effect of the contract will be about 19.2 person-years.
