Turkey’s Aselsan has introduced a flapping-wing nano unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) at the Teknofest aviation and defense industry event.
Teknofest Black Sea event is being held at the northern province of Samsun’s Çarşamba Airport. It is organized by the Turkish Technology Team Foundation (T3 Foundation) and Turkey’s Industry and Technology Ministry.
The “flapping mechanism” was produced by Aselsan specially for the hummingbird-type flapping wing mini aircraft. The UAV will be tasked with performing reconnaissance and surveillance missions with low detectability. The project is currently in the research and development (R&D) phase.
