The first Irkut narrow-body MC-21 airliner was painted with Rossiya livery ahead of the aircraft’s delivery.
The liner will be operated by Irkut Corporation, a subsidiary of United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) for the training of flight instructors for Rossiya Airlines. In addition, together with the Aeroflot Group, work will also be carried out on a roadmap for the implementation of maintenance at the airports of the potential route network of new aircraft.
In July 2021, Irkut Corporation and Rossiya Airlines formed a working group to prepare for commercial flights on MC-21 aircraft. At the initial stage, the corporate gray-red-white livery of the airline will be applied to three experimental aircraft of the Irkut Corporation that are not included in the carrier's fleet. Further, the livery will be applied to aircraft already accepted into the fleet.
Next week, a prototype MS-21 in the livery of the Rossiya airline will arrive at the Flight Test and Development Complex of the OKB. A.S. Yakovlev in Zhukovsky for training for the upcoming flight cycle.
