Russia’s Shershen drone, designed to take out other hostile drones by suppressing their radars will enter batch production in early 2023.
Vitaly Dolgov, head of the team at Kartsev Research Institute of Computing Systems that developed the Shershen, told TASS that the hexacopter can disperse illegal protests by ultrasound.
"We plan to begin producing Shershen in batches after New Year’s Day. Since mid-December - January we will be ready to show the hexacopter in action," he said. As reported earlier, the institute conducted successful trials of the drone with 100 volunteers.
Shershen is a drone with a radius of up to 10 km. It is made of Russian components and can also jam drones, operate in the oil and gas industry and monitor environmental emergencies.
