Lithuania’s defense ministry has acquired Caesar Mark II artillery systems manufactured in France by Nexter.

On December 30, Lithuania’s defense minister Arvydas Anušauskas met his French counterpart Sébastien Lecornu in Paris to confirm the agreement of Caesar Mark II acquisition.

Caesar Mark II is an upgraded version of the French Army’s Caesar. 18 modernized units of Caesar howitzers will be delivered to the Lithuanian Armed Forces by 2027, the ministry confirmed today.
